Polls, Polls, and More Polls

A slew of new polls show Barack Obama with a comfortable advantage over John McCain with 28 days to go.

National:
CNN/Opinion Research:
Obama 53%
McCain 45%

Gallup:
Obama 50%
McCain 42%

Rasmussen:
Obama 52%
McCain 44%

DailyKos/Research 2000:
Obama 52%
McCain 41%
The news is just as good in the all-important state contests:
Ohio:
Obama 51%
McCain 45%

Florida:
Obama 52%
McCain 45%

Colorado:
Obama 51%
McCain 45%

Missouri:
Obama 50%
McCain 47%

North Carolina:
Obama 50%
McCain 44%
With these new numbers, if the election were held today the Electoral College map would look something like this:

Obama 365
McCain 173
(270 electoral votes need to win)

28 days is a long time in politics, and the desperate bottom feeders running the McCain campaign are obviously getting deep into the gutter in an effort to turn Americans against Obama. As such, I expect the race to tighten by November 4th. But still, at this point, Obama has some pretty hefty momentum.
