The fabulous stage actress, singer, and comedienne, Brett Somers, died this past Saturday. She was 83.For most people my age, Somers is best known for her regular gig on "Match Game," the # 1 rated game show that aired on CBS in the 1970s. Her banter with host Gene Rayburn, co-regular Charles Nelson-Reilly, and semi-regulars such as Betty White and Fannie Flagg, still keeps viewers in stitches. The show's humor seems pretty tame today, but back then was considered quite racy.
Reilly passed away earlier in May of this year.
