These two satellite shots of the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas were taken three hours apart and show how quickly the Santa Ana winds can turn a containable wildfire into a raging inferno. I lived in Santa Barbara for six years (Brent for 13), but I never saw anything like this. It's frightening and my thoughts are with those in SoCal.
