Following news of his work on a free-trade agreement with Colombia that Sen. Hillary Clinton opposes, Mark Penn has stepped down as chief strategist of her presidential campaign.
One has to wonder whether this would helped Clinton's campaign had it happened early on. Penn is the architect of Clinton's miserable and badly run campaign of personal destruction. It's too little too late to save her now, I'm afraid.
