An out-of-work truck driver accused of opening fire at [the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church], killing two people [and injuring seven others], left behind a note suggesting that he targeted the congregation out of hatred for its liberal policies.The fascists of the religious right had a hand in this guy's warped world view. I'm not a church-going man by any stretch, but in what world is it ok to go into a church and murder people?
Jim D. Adkisson, 58, was charged with first-degree murder and was being held on $1 million bail.
