What's Good For Dukakis...

The new presidential front-runner on the Fascist-Republican side of the political spectrum seems to be Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas. The only problem with holding that position in any political contest is that the press and opponents begin to pile on. And the fodder with which Huckabee has provided them? Well...me thinks he'll be knocked down a few pegs before next week...

The Dumond Story:

On the Today Show this morning Huckabee blamed the Huffington Post for the report outlining his release of a convicted rapist who then went on to not only rape, but murder, shortly after leaving prison.

What's wrong preacher? You can't take the heat? What's good for Dukakis is good the gander, I always say.

NI Huh?:

With his sudden rise to the top of the GOP heap, Mr. Huckabee hoped to impress national and local reporters with all that he knew about current affairs. But when asked to comment about the recent NIE report regarding nuclear weapons in Iran, the former governor apparently went slack-jawed, shook his head, and said "no," he wasn't familiar with it.

Ahem...he's running for president . Hello!! Shouldn't someone be giving this guy daily foreign policy briefings?

Should Huckabee somehow retain his new front-runner status and become the Republican nominee (a good possibility if the religious right stay the course), then the Democratic ticket needs to treat him exactly like a certain hapless candidate from 1988.
