Word around the "inter-web" this morning is that Gov. David Paterson (Democrat-NY) will appoint Rep. Kristen Gillibrand (Democrat-NY) to the Senate seat vacated by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Gillibrand, a second term congresswoman from upstate New York, doesn't sound like the most ideal candidate (she was endorsed by the NRA last year), but she isn't a Kennedy or a Cuomo.
And in my book, that's a good thing.
