The Obama Administration today announced that it would keep the same position as the Bush Administration in the lawsuit Mohmed et. al. v Jeppesen Dataplan, Inc.What the fuck is the President thinking?
The case involves five men who claim to have been victims of extraordinary rendition. Two are now free and suing San Jose-based Jeppesen Dataplan, a subsidiary of Boeing, for aiding the CIA in flying them to other countries where they were held and tortured for what turned out to be no reason.
Last November we voted to end the failed economic policies of the last eight years, but at the same time that vote demanded an end to the questionable and illegal goings on in this battle against terrorism.
This news is disappointing at a gut-punch level.
