The Obama Generation

Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 went for Barack Obama last November by a stunning margin of 66% to 32%. Since taking office, the President's support with that age group has increased:
Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president?

Approve 74%
Disapprove 17%
As for the Republicans, their hardcore fascism puts them "on the precipice of becoming irrelevant to young people," according to Meghan McCain, daughter of Mr. Obama's opponent last November.

The only age group McCain won were the over 65s. As they begin to dwindle in number, we could very well see a long term Democratic hold on the White House for a couple of decades or so, with a Republican term thrown in here or there for balance (similar to how the Republicans held the presidency for 28 of the previous 40 years).
