When a real crisis happened on 9/11, I remember the Democrats rushing to do whatever Bush wanted. I remember hand-holding and singing on the Capitol Steps. I don’t remember them hoping Bush’s response would fail.-John Cole on the shit pile that is the current Republican Party.
The current economic crisis is pretty real. While it doesn't include terrorists and mass death, the final toll when it's all over could be devastating. Especially if some rogue nation or terrorist cell decides to use the downturn to reek havoc on our financial system. Or if China calls in our debt.
