The Obama Breakout?

He's now seven-points ahead of Hillary according to the lastest Des Moines Register poll:
Obama 32%
Clinton 25%
Edwards 24%
Richardson 6%
Biden 4%
40% of independents and 5% of Republicans say they'll attend Democratic caucuses and back Obama on Thursday night. Think of how that could translate in a national general election - the electoral map would be solidly blue!

But remember...we should not take pre-caucus polling in Iowa too seriously. It's really hard to poll for this type of election. However, if these numbers hold tomorrow night then She-Who-Is-Inevitable will be in a spot of trouble, no? If Obama wins Iowa, then I predict New Hampshire and South Carolina fall his way, and from there Clinton would be in a world of hurt.

Obama seems to be the breakout guy right now, and while I think he would be a superb candidate for the Democratic Party, I stand by my endorsement of Joe Biden as the best option for both the country and the globe.
