Obama/Biden Lead McCain/Palin

Two new polls, both taken after the vice-presidential picks had been named, show Barack Obama with comfortable leads against John McCain:

USA Today/Gallup:
Obama/Biden 50%
McCain/Palin 43%

CBS News:
Obama/Biden 48%
McCain/Palin 40%

The Sarah Palin news dump hasn't had time to seep its way into the public opinion surveys. Once it does Americans will understand that McCain is far from ready for the presidency, and Obama's margin may increase a bit.
