Krugman Wins Nobel Prize for Economics

Although he has been a columnist for the New York Times since 1999, and a professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton for a long time, many Americans have only recently begun to know Paul Krugman, as he has been all over the television since the beginning of the Republican-fueled economic meltdown.

It was announced today that Mr. Krugman has been awarded the 2008 Nobel Prize for Economics for his analysis of trade patterns and location of economic activity.
