DailyKos/Research 2000:
Obama 51%CBS News:
McCain 40%
Obama 50%That lead is showing itself in the all-important state-by-state contests. If the election were held today, the electoral map would look something like this:
McCain 41%
Obama/Biden 354
McCain/Palin 184
(270 needed to win)
And Obama is closing in on McCain in Missouri and Indiana, which would mean an additional 22 electoral votes.
Most presidential elections get closer by Election Day, and I'm sure this race will be no different in that regard. But right now, things still look mighty good for Sen. Obama.
